  • Kathryn Wright

    BALLET PROGRAM DIRECTOR/ BALLET TEACHER/POINTE TEACHER

    Kathryn was raised in the Midwest and received her earliest classical training at The Ballet Academy, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is also where she taught her first ballet class, and it was love at first lesson. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Iowa. During her time at U of I she continued teaching at The Ballet Academy, Inc and taught children of all ages at City Ballet of Iowa. After graduating Kathryn moved to Denver to pursue her teaching career and is happy to have been part of the VDC family since 2015. With 15+ years of teaching experience, Kathryn teaches ballet at Virtuosity Dance Centre as an American Ballet Theatre® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).

  • Marissa Moschette

    TAP TEACHER/JAZZ TEACHER/MODERN TEACHER/COMPANY CHOREOGRAPHER

    Marissa Moschette, a proud Jersey native, began dancing at the age of 3 and immersed herself in the National Competition Dance scene by 5. She is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Ballroom, and has worked with renowned artists like Anthony Morigerato, Hillary-Marie, Mike Minery, and Savion Glover.

    A graduate of Rutgers University with dual degrees in Science and Fine Arts from Mason Gross School of Performing Arts, Marissa has spent over nine years teaching and choreographing at competitive studios across the Tri-State Area. She successfully developed tap programs and earned numerous choreography awards, including invitations to The World Dance Championship for her pieces “Welcome to Bikini Bottom” and “Snap Clap.”

    Marissa values the life lessons dance teaches and is passionate about passing that on to her students. She loves being part of the VDC family and looks forward to growing alongside them in the years to come.

  • Abbey Krostue

    TOT PROGRAM COORDINATOR/TOT TEACHER/ACRO TEACHER

    Abbey Krostue is originally from Minnesota and is the Tot Program Director. She is so excited to work with our younger Hip-Hop and Tumbling dancers. Abbey has been dancing since age 3 and began dancing competitively in 5th grade. She then was on her high school dance team for 6 years (7th-12th grade) where she was awarded an All-Conference Award and held a Captain position her senior year. Abbey then came to Mines for school and joined the Mines Dance Team! She graduated from Mines with both her M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science in the Spring of 2023. Abbey now coaches the Chaparral High School JV Poms team in Parker and works as a Cyber Security Engineer in Centennial.

  • Alicia Lindauer

    CONTEMPORARY TEACHER/GROOVALICIOUS TEACHER

    Alicia Lindauer, originally from Rochester, NY, discovered her passion for dance at age 10 at the Draper Center for Dance Education. She studied theatre and dance at School of the Arts and trained with Garth Fagan Dance, a contemporary company blending modern and Afro-Caribbean styles.

    While at Boston University, Alicia danced, choreographed, and studied a wide range of styles, including modern, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and tap. After college, she taught ballet and tap at A Leap Above Dance and led the dance program for Discovering Dance Arts, a non-profit bringing arts to youth in rural Wisconsin. Wherever life has taken her, Alicia has continued to train, including in Ann Arbor, NYC, and DC.

    Since joining VDC in 2015, Alicia has danced with the Groovalicious Troupe and Vivid Visions Dance Collective. Now a teacher at VDC, she focuses on keeping her classes fun while encouraging students to push their limits. Her choreography, rooted in modern dance, blends various styles.

    Alicia holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s in Biology with minors in Mathematics and Dance from Boston University. When not dancing, climbing, or exploring the outdoors, she works as a Technology Manager for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office.

  • Priya Kumar

    HIP HOP TEACHER/JAZZ TEACHER/CONDITIONING TEACHER

    Priya Kumar grew up in Colorado. She teaches Hip Hop I, Jazz I, and Tot Hop and feels lucky to have her dream job at Virtuosity Dance Center in Golden, Colorado. Priya has been dancing since she could walk, but has been dancing at VDC since 2016. Her favorite styles of dance are hip hop and jazz. Priya was on Virtuosity's company team where she danced at local events, danced for a band in a music video, and made friendships that will last a lifetime. During her time on VDC's Elite team, she competed throughout the Denver area. Because of Priya's passion for dance, she started a dance team at her high school. She was able to dance with all of her school friends, which was a blast. Priya is currently attending University of Colorado Denver, studying Integrated Health Sciences. She plans to further her dance career on her college dance team. Dance is Priya's favorite way to express herself and cannot wait to teach her favorite little students about the art that she loves so much.

  • Olivia Bohl

    JAZZ TEACHER/COMPANY TEACHER

    From Golden, CO, Olivia began dancing at VDC when she was 11 years old, a semester after the studio opened and is now a part of the Jazz and Company programs. She started assistance-teaching Creative Movement, Ballet, and Jazz classes when she was 14 and started teaching in the tots program when she was 16. She loves to focus on technique and teaching kids how to be expressive and comfortable in their own skin, while empowering them to be vulnerable. Her favorite styles of dance are Ballet and Jazz, but Contemporary has always been the style where she feels the most herself. Dance has always been Olivia's outlet and she knows she wouldn't be who she is today without her time at VDC. She recently graduated from MSU Denver with a degree in Exercise Science and is pursuing a career as a Physical Therapist for dancers. She hopes she can combine her love of anatomy with her passion for dance to help future dancers prevent and recover from injuries so that they can feel strong and always do what they love.

  • Taylor Bazewicz

    JAZZ TEACHER

    Taylor Bazewicz grew up right here in Golden Colorado. She danced at Virtuosity Dance Centre for 6 years, where she learned to love dance. She started competing when she was 14 and found new inspiration in the competitive world. Taylor believes that getting training from new teachers is one of the best ways to improve as a dancer. She currently is going to Golden High School and is formerly on the dance team there. While on this team, Taylor was able to compete more as well as perform in football and basketball games, while learning to be on a team. She enjoys all types of dance and has been trained in all styles. Some of her favorites include Contemporary and Ballet. After highscool Taylor plans to continue dancing and it's her dream to work on a cruise ship before going to college and studying more in the art of dance. She is very excited to go into this new experience of teaching and learn from her students and help guide the young dancers into this lovely world of dance!

  • Lily Renneker

    LYRICAL TEACHER

    Lily Renneker grew up in Massachusetts, right outside of Boston, and moved to Golden, Colorado 2 years ago. She started dancing at age 2 and attended Creative Steps Dance Studio for 17 years. Her training was in a multitude of different styles, including tap, lyrical, jazz, and many more! At 7 years old, she started her training at Boston Ballet; training in ballet, pointe, character dance, and modern. During this time, she fell in love with ballet and everything the style has to offer, from technique, to discipline, to artistry. Towards the end of highschool, she delved into the world of choreography, where she co-directed her local theatre’s Choreography Project. During this project, she led a group of choreographers in creating 15+ pieces for over 45 dancers, including 3 of her own, in ballet, contemporary, and tap. In her free time, Lily loves choreographing! Currently, she is in her final year at Colorado School of Mines completing her bachelors in Computational and Applied Mathematics. She attends the ballroom dance club twice a week, participating in tango and country swing. Lily is so excited to start at VDC and bring her love of dance and choreography to the younger dance generation!
